About Us

Mission Statement
To provide excellent, up to date orthopaedic care with a personal touch.

Our Office
Brevard Orthopaedics has two highly trained and personable Orthopedic Surgeons on staff. Doctors Lemel and Graham are both board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. To be Board Certified is no easy feat and both of these physicians have dedicated a major portion of their life pursuing their passion of being a specialist in their field. Dr. Lemel is fellowship trained and his areas of special interest are disorders and injuries of the hand, elbow, shoulder, ankle and foot. Dr. Graham is fellowship trained and his areas of interest are disorders and sports injuries of the shoulder and knee, as well as total joint replacements. Both doctors take care of all kinds of fractures and dislocations, as well as general Orthopaedic problems. Dr. Lemel and Dr. Graham also regularly attend meetings throughout the year in order to stay current and master the latest proven techniques in treatment and surgery in Orthopaedics and especially in their areas of interest. Both Orthopaedic Surgeons are highly qualified in taking care of injuries that occur at work.

Often people ask, "What is Orthopaedics and what types of surgery do Dr. Lemel and Dr. Graham perform?" Orthopaedic Surgeons are specialist of the body's musculoskeletal structure such as bones, joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles. At the left of this page is a list of some of the most common surgeries performed, but this is not an all-inclusive list. The surgeons of Brevard Orthopaedics offer many other services too.

At Brevard Orthopaedics there is always a welcoming office staff that will help you with questions about your insurance, appointments, lab reports, x-ray results and when needed, referrals to other physicians. Furthermore, Brevard Orthopedics is trying to develop a full service and comprehensive musculoskeletal care approach. We are now offering at our office location the ability to see a spine and pain specialist that focuses on nonsurgical restoration of function to those with neck and back pain. Several times a month a specialist is available to perform neurological (EMG/NCS) testing, and an Orthotist in the office for those who need custom orthotics and braces made or fitted. All of this is being offered so that our patients and the people of Transylvania County can get top-notch, first class treatment of their musculoskeletal injuries or painful condition without going to the "Big City" where all they will get is a long drive and longer wait in the doctor's office.
